The dormitory is a structural subdivision of PHEI “NATIONAL LAW ACADEMY”. The purpose of the dormitory is to provide non-resident and foreign students of the Academy with a place of comfortable living.
The dormitory provides the necessary conditions for living, recreation, life and physical culture of its inhabitants. The decision of questions of maintenance of proper living conditions is carried out with participation of bodies of student’s self-government.
As of today, the Academy has two dormitories within the city of Kyiv:
dormitory № 1 st. Kharkiv highway, 210;
dormitory № 2 Lomonosova str., 35.
The procedure for settling in dormitories

If a person who has received a permit to settle in a dormitory has not moved into a dormitory within 10 days, it is generally considered that he or she does not need a settlement.
Provision of a room in a family dormitory to persons is carried out on the basis of the decision of the rector at the joint request of the director / dean and the student government of the institute / faculty where such persons study.

PROVISIONS ABOUT DORMITORIES
The rules of living in the dormitories of the Academy are defined in the Regulations on dormitories of NLA.
Living in a dormitory is based on the principles of good neighborliness, responsibility, and respect for the individual. The facts of discrimination, physical and psychological violence, humiliation of human dignity, etc. are not allowed.
Persons of the same sex must live in the dormitory rooms (except for the family dormitory). Mini-blocks of dormitories that share common areas must also be inhabited by persons of the same sex.
The dormitory commandant keeps records of public property contained in the room, separately for things that are on the balance of the dormitory and things of private property of the occupants of the room.
Residents have the right to 24-hour access to the dormitory upon presentation of a pass. Visitors (persons who do not live in the dormitory) have the right to stay in the dormitory from 08:00 to 23:00. Upon entering the dormitory, the visitor presents an identity document and is registered in the visitor’s book. The person living in the dormitory is obliged to meet the visitor in person and to accompany him / her when leaving the dormitory. It is forbidden to leave strangers for the night.
In exceptional cases, with the permission of the director / dean of the institute / faculty, his deputy and the consent of all residents, a close relative may remain in the room, but not for more than three days.
Responsibility for the timely exit of visitors from the dormitory and their compliance with the Regulations on NLA dormitories is borne by the residents of the dormitory who invited guests.
If there is a free bed in the room, other residents are obliged to check that the dormitory commandant has a duplicate of the keys to this room, and if not – to provide it to ensure the right of another person to settle (relocate) to a free place. Otherwise, the commandant of the dormitory in the absence of these residents has the right to enter this room accompanied by a commission from simultaneous replacement of the castle and providing new duplicates to residents upon their return. Such a commission is created by the decision of the commandant consisting of at least three people with the obligatory participation of representatives of the student council of the dormitory.
Individuals have the right to stay in a dormitory for the entire period of study. Upon completion or termination of training for other reasons, residents are required to leave the dormitory within 14 days from the date of expulsion. When leaving the room, the person is obliged to eliminate all defects caused by his fault during the stay.
At the request of the director / dean of the institute / faculty, with the permission of the rector, a participant in the educational process who has completed his studies may be allowed to continue living in the dormitory for a certain period if there are vacancies and no people in need of dormitory accommodation.
